HomeWhat we do?
The Covid-19 Psychosocial Internship Programme response team seeks to provide a timeous, culturally-sensitive, linguistically appropriate, and context-based model of support for individuals, families and communities infected and affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this reason, we recommend that a mental health and psychosocial response should draw from communities’ explanatory models of health and illness. Additionally, we draw from their cultural aetiologies, manifestation, help-seeking pathways, and from their preferred treatment options.
